Facts About Aspartame

Chemical Facts No.1

Facts About Aspartame

I came to know aspartame during our biochemistry class. In that book, it stated there that this chemical can cause Alzheimer's disease. After knowing that, I became curious on it on how it will cause that disease. When I was working, I came to handle and do quality assurance testing of the chemical. It is really sweet with just a dust of it and you can taste its sweetness. At that moment, I realized that this chemical will be used in every product that requires to be sweetened but I was worried. I was worried to the fact that I know the toxicity of it and the danger that this chemical could caused to consumers.

Here are the list of products that this chemical has been used. According to this blog  www.livestrong.com. Artificial sweeteners are synthetic sugar substitutes that may or may not be derived from naturally occurring substances. Aspartame is one example of a non-nutritive artificial sweetener approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration. Artificial sweeteners are many times sweeter than regular sugar, but contain no added calories. While these non-nutritive chemicals are considered safe, there are some concerns regarding their use. Nevertheless, aspartame is in a variety of foods and beverages on the market today.

According to this blog http://www.relfe.com/aspartame_92.html,  FDA Lists 92 Symptoms from Aspartame including Death:

However, the FDA has a record keeping problem (they never did respond to the certified letter from the WEBMASTER of this site a major victim!) and they tend to discourage or even misdirect complaints, at least on aspartame. The fact remains, though, that MOST victims don't have a clue that aspartame may be the cause of their many problems! Many reactions to aspartame were very serious including seizures and death.
Those reactions included:
